The 2025/26 Tunisia Women’s Volleyball League has kicked off with a powerful statement from Club Sportif Sfaxien. After three rounds, the team has delivered three convincing wins, proving that even with a roster that is largely different compared to last season, they remain highly competitive under a new coach, Abdelaziz Ben Abdallah.
Last season was a huge disappointment for CSS, despite featuring a roster with several experienced players. The struggles of 2024/25 left fans frustrated, but also motivated the club to rebuild boldly. That setback has now fueled a fresh start, with a new generation determined to restore pride in Sfax.
The club is clearly counting on a new generation of talented players, like Malak Allouch, Khadija Louati, and Sirine Attiallah, and all of them are already shining.
At the same time, several players from last season have shown clear improvement, such as Dhouha Ingazou, setter Hiba Fatnassi, middle blocker Ahlem Baazaoui, Ines Chkili, and libero Nada Tannoubi, in addition to Basma Awled Ali who returned to the squad after two season on a loan at CSF Monastir.
Together, this blend of youth and progress has given CSS a fresh identity and renewed strength.
CSS stunned Club Africain with a 3–1 victory at Sfax in the opening round, setting the tone for the season with a really impressive performance and fighting spirit against one of the strongest squads in the Tunisian League.
Three straight wins have established them as one of the most convincing teams early on. The new‑look squad is not just filling gaps — they’re driving the team’s energy and pace.
The Sfax Arena is once again packed, with massive crowds supporting the women’s volleyball squad. At home, CSS is clearly having the largest women’s volleyball attendance on site by far, surpassing even rivals EspĂ©rance Tunis and Club Africain in this sport. The atmosphere has become a true sixth player, fueling the team’s confidence and making Sfax a fortress.
With the league's big four already pulling away, CSS’s strong start positions them firmly in the playoff race. The challenge will be maintaining this momentum against seasoned rivals, but the early signs suggest this new‑look squad is ready to compete at the highest level.
