Following a historical maiden season in Major League Volleyball, the Dallas Pulse roster has seen a major shake-up ahead of the 2027 campaign. Amidst this massive reconstruction, only 3 players from the winning championship campaign are set to return to defend the title.
The franchise is moving forward without several key championship stars who have moved on to new challenges. This prominent group of departures includes Outside Hitter of the Year Mimi Colyer, offensive centerpiece Malaya Jones, veteran setter Natalia Valentin-Anderson, and influential outside hitter Sofia Maldonado.

Opposite hitter Kelsie Payne returns to provide vital offensive continuity on the right side. Her veteran experience and scoring reliability will be crucial as the squad integrates a brand-new defensive line and setter rotation. 
Throughout the inaugural season, her ability to deliver in clutch moments gave Dallas a dependable scoring outlet under pressure, a trait that will be essential as the roster develops new on-court chemistry.
Outside hitter Kaylee Cox stays with the franchise to maintain stability on the wing. Known for her balanced play, her role in both reception and transition offense will anchor the team's system through this transition phase. 
She proved to be a vital steadying force throughout the 2026 championship run, delivering consistent all-around performances that balanced the team's high-powered offense, making her a foundational piece for the upcoming title defense.
Middle blocker Layne Van Buskirk returns to police the net, standing as the lone returning piece in the central defense. Her blocking presence and transition attacking speed will serve as the foundation for the team's front-row identity. 
As a reliable force at the net during the inaugural season, her defensive reads and quick lateral movement disrupted opposing offenses at crucial moments, making her presence vital for anchoring the newly reconstructed front line.
These 3 returning players will be joined by high-profile new arrivals tasked with keeping the franchise at the top, including elite Puerto Rican libero Shara Venegas, outside hitter Alondra Vázquez, Dutch opposite Iris Scholten, and Thai international outside hitter Ajcharaporn Kongyot.
