Zeren SK faced German side SSC Palmberg Schwerin in the first leg of the CEV Champions League Playoffs, coming away with a 3–1 victory on the road at the packed Palmberg Arena.

The opening set was balanced at 9–9, but Zeren pulled ahead 19–16 and held control to win 25–21. Schwerin started the second set strong, leading 8–4, yet Zeren rallied to take it 25–21. 

The home team responded in the third, using sharp attacking to claim the set 25–21. In the fourth, Zeren capitalized on errors, built a 12–8 lead, and closed the match with a dominant 25–14 finish.

Anna Lazareva led all scorers with 25 points, while Svetlana Gatina and Maja Aleksic also contributed. Lazareva was named MVP and highlighted the team’s defense and blocking as key factors, noting the challenge of facing Schwerin away from home but expressing her happiness with the win.
