Big changes are unfolding at UYBA Busto Arsizio as the club reshapes its roster and leadership. Former captain Brittany Van Avermaet has officially left the team and joined Igor Gorgonzola Novara.

Her departure marks the end of a leadership era that shaped the squad both on and off the court.

At UYBA, she will be directly replaced in the middle blocker position by Carter Booth, a promising talent arriving from the University of Wisconsin and the NCAA.

Booth performed strongly during her time with Wisconsin, helping the team excel in both the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship, where they reached the overall semi-finals.

With Van Avermaet’s exit, the captaincy has been handed to Valeria Battista. As an outside hitter with determination and leadership qualities, Battista now carries the responsibility of guiding the team into this new phase.
