SESC RJ Flamengo

In the Rio de Janeiro Women’s Volleyball derby within the Brazil Superliga Feminina, SESC RJ Flamengo defeated arch rivals from Fluminense in straight sets, winning 3–0 (25–21, 30–28, 32–30).

The opening set ended 25–21 in Flamengo’s favor, with their stronger reception and attack efficiency giving them the edge. The second set was a tense battle, stretching to 30–28, where Flamengo’s offense peaked and allowed them to narrowly secure the win. 

The third set was even more dramatic, extending to 32–30, but Flamengo’s superior reception and clutch blocking sealed the sweep.

The standout of the match was Flamengo's Simone Lee-Wank. The American outside hitter was once again on another planet, firing up no less than 38 points with a 68% attack success rate, making her the undisputed MVP of the derby. 

Tainara (#10, Flamengo) added 26 points, balancing offense and defense, while Karina (#11, Flamengo) impressed with 77% reception efficiency and 59% attack success. 

On the Fluminense side, Amanda (#8) was the most notable contributor with 19 points, showing versatility despite her team’s defeat.

With this victory, SESC RJ Flamengo extends its winning streak to nine straight matches, marking an impressive start to the season and securing the outright lead in the Brazil Superliga Feminina.
