Numia Vero Volley Milano closed the first half of the Serie A1 season with a comeback victory over Eurotek Laica UYBA, securing their ninth win and consolidating third place overall with 29 points, behind Imoco Volley Conegliano and Savino Del Bene Scandicci.
After dropping the opening set, Milano turned the tide thanks to an outstanding performance from Paola Egonu, MVP of the night with 29 points, 5 blocks, and 1 ace.
Supported by Lanier (16 points) and Piva (13 points), the team imposed its rhythm and claimed the next three sets.
Despite Obossa’s 24 points for Uyba, the visitors couldn’t resist Milano’s defensive wall and attacking firepower.
Vero Volley Milano head to Serbia for CEV Champions League Group Stage Matchday 2, where they will face OK Zeleznicar Lajkovac on December 3 at 19:00.
