The 2025/2026 CEV Champions League group stages began with fireworks: Fenerbahçe and Novara impressed with commanding victories, while Imoco Conegliano had to dig deep to survive a five-set thriller against Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü.

Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul vs. Benfica 

Fenerbahçe opened their campaign in ruthless fashion, sweeping Benfica 3–0 (25–18, 25–19, 25–12). Even without several starters, the Turkish giants showed depth and dominance. Arina Fedorovtseva was unstoppable and named MVP of the game, scoring 21 points and firing six aces to lead her team past the debutants with ease against the Portuguese rival.

PGE Budowlani Łódź vs. Igor Gorgonzola Novara 

 Playing away from home, Novara claimed a strong 3–1 victory (25–20, 19–25, 23–25, 17–25). The Italians showed composure on the road, using their balanced attack and defensive solidity to silence the Polish crowd. Lina Alsmeier was named MVP, spearheading Novara’s offense and ensuring the visitors left Łódź with a crucial win.

Imoco Volley Conegliano vs. Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü 

Conegliano faced a scare in their opener, narrowly escaping an upset in a dramatic five-set battle. Zeren pushed the Italian champions to the limit, but Conegliano’s resilience and composure in the decisive moments secured a 3–2 win (23–25, 26–24, 23–25, 25–22, 20–18). Gabi orchestrated the team’s rhythm and was deservedly named MVP of the game.
