VakıfBank captured the first piece of silverware of the season by winning the Turkish Women's Super Cup (AXA Sigorta Şampiyonlar Kupası).

They defeated their fierce rivals, Eczacıbaşı Peron İstanbul, in an absolute five-set thriller at the Antalya Sports Hall.

VakıfBank edged past Eczacıbaşı with a final score of 3-2. Giovanni Guidetti's squad looked poised for a comfortable victory after securing the opening two sets 25-21 and 25-23.
However, Eczacıbaşı fought back fiercely, dominating the next two sets 19-25 and 17-25 to force a tie-break. VakıfBank ultimately regained their composure in the deciding fifth set, closing out the match 15-10 to claim the trophy.
Marina Markova led the charge for VakıfBank, putting up a staggering 29 points, including 26 kills. Middle blocker Zehra Güneş was named the match MVP after an incredibly efficient performance, contributing 16 points with a 68% attack success rate. For Eczacıbaşı, Ebrar Karakurt paced the team with 23 points, but it wasn't quite enough to stop VakıfBank's final push.
