According to the Turkish-based X account @gibbybaris, Türk Hava Yolları SK (THY) has unilaterally terminated the contract of middle blocker Karmen Aksoy without financial compensation following a severe anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear she suffered during the Volleyball Nations League match against Belgium while competing with the Turkish national team.

As a result of this sudden decision, her club will not pay any compensation for the remainder of her contract. However, the Turkish Volleyball Federation has stepped in and will fully cover all of her upcoming medical expenses and rehabilitation costs.
This is an extremely unfortunate situation for the talented middle blocker, who was improving significantly with both her club and the national team. We wish her a quick and full recovery.
