A new chapter is beginning for one of the key right-side hitters in American professional volleyball. Major League Volleyball champion Malaya Jones is ready to conquer a new stage, bringing her offensive game to a brand-new market. 
After a successful run in Texas, the standout opposite hitter is shifting gears to join the rival League One Volleyball, joining LOVB Madison for the upcoming campaign.
Before reaching the professional ranks, Jones built a strong reputation at the collegiate level. She served as one of the team captains for the SMU Mustangs, where she shined on the national stage in the NCAA. Her consistent play earned her First Team All-American honors and saw her break single-season scoring records. 
These standout collegiate performances quickly caught the eyes of professional scouts, earning her a selection in the 2025 Major League Volleyball Draft where she was selected by the Dallas franchise.
This high-level baseline translated smoothly into her rookie pro season. Her offensive contributions made her a centerpiece of the Dallas Pulse's championship run, culminating in the 2026 Major League Volleyball title during the league's inaugural season.
She will not be navigating this new transition to Wisconsin alone. Her Dallas Pulse teammate, star outside hitter Mimi Colyer, has also joined the Madison franchise, bringing their proven championship chemistry straight to the League One Volleyball circuit.
