Puerto Rican star libero Shara Venegas is ready for her next big challenge. After playing a major role in leading the San Diego Mojo to the 2026 Major League Volleyball Final Four, she has officially signed with the reigning league champions, the Dallas Pulse, for the 2027 campaign.

With the Californian franchise not returning in 2027, Venegas was highly sought after as a free agent following her 2026 performance in San Diego.

Her performance also set a league milestone, as she became the first MLV player to surpass 1,000 career digs with a single franchise, ultimately finishing her time with San Diego at 1,189 total digs. She served as a true pillar throughout San Diego's regular season campaign, providing the defensive stability that anchored the team on their way to the playoffs.
These statistics and her consistent leadership earned her a spot on the 2026 All-MLV Second Team as well as her second consecutive All-Star selection.
Now, the 2016 Rio Olympian brings over 15 years of international experience to Texas. To make the transition even smoother, Dallas also signed outside hitter Alondra Vázquez, Venegas’s long-time teammate on the Puerto Rican National Team.

With Venegas anchoring the back row, the Dallas Pulse are well-positioned to defend their championship title in 2027.
