However, their campaign ended in heartbreak, crashing out in the NCAA Tournament against Texas A&M. Now, the Huskers return to the court entirely determined to establish absolute national dominance and lift the NCAA Championship trophy.

The undisputed pulse of the team operates through its elite playmakers. Senior Bergen Reilly enters her final year as the orchestrator of the entire offense, coming off a season where her high-pressure poise guided Nebraska through chaos. Her precise ball placement will remain crucial to pacing the team's pursuit of a national title, while sophomore Campbell Flynn provides lethal tactical depth behind her.
The Outside Hitters Led by Harper Murray
Pure frontline firepower and defensive grit define Nebraska's pin attackers. Senior Harper Murray remains the team's chief offensive threat, famously carrying the attack unit in high-stakes matches and anchoring backrow defense. Following the 2025 tournament disillusionment, she returns with a fierce hunger to lead a deep group that includes Skyler Pierce, Teraya Sigler, and heavy-hitting freshman recruit Gabby DiVita.
The Opposite Hitters Spearheaded by Virginia Adriano
Unmatched size and versatile attacking angles give the right side of the net an overwhelming advantage. Breakout star sophomore Virginia Adriano enters the season as a major tactical x-factor after a stellar freshman campaign. Her towering presence, lethal line-drives, and net dominance provide the massive right-side production Nebraska needs against elite blocks, supported by Ryan Hunter and freshman Jayden Robinson.
The Middle Blockers Solidified by Andi Jackson
The iron defensive wall at the net relies heavily on elite lateral speed and experience. Senior middle blocker Andi Jackson provides the critical veteran leadership and hyper-efficient transition scoring needed to lock down the net. Her explosive slide attacks and shutdown blocking capabilities will dictate the frontline pace, heavily supported by the depth of Manaia Ogbechie, Kenna Cogill, and freshman Keoni Williams.
The Liberos Commanded by Laney Choboy
The backcourt floor generals serve as the foundational anchor for the entire transition offense. Senior libero Laney Choboy injects relentless energy into the lineup, renowned for her spectacular, acrobatic defensive saves and vocal leadership in high-pressure rallies. Her elite ball-tracking skills dictate the defensive rhythm, perfectly complemented by steady defensive specialists Olivia Mauch and Keri Leimbach to stabilize the serve-receive lines.
