Gaia Giovannini reached an unforgettable peak during her 2026 club season, guiding Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia to their very first European trophy by capturing the prestigious CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup. 
Her leadership was on full display during a grueling finals series against Panathinaikos, where Vallefoglia followed up a tight 3-2 first-leg win by silencing 3,000 Greek fans in Athens with a definitive 3-0 sweep. 
This historic continental triumph was perfectly crowned by Giovannini’s individual brilliance, as her elite consistency under pressure throughout the tournament earned her the MVP award.
