The Orlando Valkyries, reigning 2025 Major League Volleyball champions, earned a dramatic road win Sunday night, defeating the Omaha Supernovas in five sets (25-18, 25-20, 16-25, 24-26, 15-9) in front of a crowd of 10,563.
Orlando controlled the opening two sets with efficient offense and strong defense, limiting Omaha’s attack and quieting the home crowd. The Supernovas responded after halftime, taking the third set comfortably and edging out the fourth with timely blocks to force a decider.
In the fifth, league MVP Brittany Abercrombie proved decisive, scoring five of Orlando’s six kills and finishing with 22 kills and 19 digs overall. Her performance sealed the Valkyries’ victory and preserved their status as one of the league’s top contenders early in the season.
