
The Indy Ignite added another memorable match to their early season, edging the Columbus Fury in five sets (25-23, 24-26, 25-18, 22-25, 22-20) to move to 2-0 in the 2026 Major League Volleyball campaign. It was the third straight time the two teams have gone the distance, with Indy coming out on top each time.
Head coach Lauren Bertolacci highlighted her team’s resilience after a tense finale that saw both sides trade match points before the Ignite finally secured the win.
Anna DeBeer and Leketor Member-Meneh led the attack, while Lydia Martyn stood out defensively with key blocks in the decisive set.
The result reflected Indy’s ability to stay composed under pressure and gave fans another close contest between two evenly matched teams.
