The Dallas Pulse recorded their first-ever franchise win in Major League Volleyball with a 3-1 victory over San Diego Mojo on Jan. 15 at Comerica Center in Frisco. After dropping the opening set 15-25, Dallas regrouped and won the next three sets convincingly, 25-16, 25-16, and 25-18.

Outside hitter Sofia Maldonado Diaz led the PULSE with 12 kills and 10 digs, while Mimi Colyer also added 12 kills. Middle blockers Layne Van Buskirk and Trisitin Savage were strong at the net, combining for 19 kills and seven blocks. Savage earned Player of the Game honors with 10 kills and three blocks.

San Diego was paced by Grace Loberg’s 12 kills, while Maya Tabron contributed nine kills and 11 digs. Middle blockers Kayla Caffey and Marin Crote added eight and seven kills, respectively.

After a slow start, Dallas found its rhythm in the second set, using improved blocking and defense to shift momentum. The PULSE held San Diego to a .143 hitting percentage in the third set and closed out the match with four more blocks in the fourth.

The win highlighted Dallas’s growing chemistry and marked a milestone in the team’s inaugural season.
