The Dallas Pulse, North Texas’ first professional women’s volleyball team, have begun their inaugural Major League Volleyball (MLV) season with encouraging results.
As newcomers, their roster has been built from scratch and is a mix of established athletes and players making the jump to the professional level from collegiate NCAA competition.
After dropping their opener at home in Frisco with a 1–3 loss to the Indy Ignite, the team quickly settled in, winning three straight matches to establish early momentum.
Their first victory came against the San Diego Mojo in a 3–1 contest, followed by a close five‑set win on the road against the Atlanta Vibe.
The Pulse then earned a notable five‑set triumph over the defending champion Orlando Valkyries. With a 3–1 record, the team has shown they can compete in the eight‑team league.
A key contributor to the strong start has been rookie outside hitter Mimi Colyer. Selected first overall in the 2025 MLV Draft from Wisconsin, she has quickly made an impact.
In the win against Atlanta, she recorded 24 kills on 58 swings for 26 points, helping the team edge out the five‑set battle. Her consistent play has already made her a central figure in the lineup.
This strong beginning is exciting for North Texas volleyball fans, signaling that the Dallas Pulse are not just participating—they're built to shine in their inaugural season.
