The USC Trojans, formerly of the Pac-12 Conference, made a seamless and successful transition to the Big Ten Conference in their 2025 debut season.
The Los Angeles-based team finished the conference slate with a strong 15-5 record, securing a fourth-place finish in a demanding new environment.
The Trojans concluded their regular season with an impressive 25-6 overall record and earned an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament. Their run ended in a second-round five-set upset loss to Cal Poly (25-19, 25-20, 20-25, 14-25, 15-7).
Despite the early exit in the tournament, the team's strong season was a direct result of several key players stepping up and excelling in the highly competitive Big Ten environment.
USC 2025 Women's Volleyball roster is here
London Wijay (Outside Hitter): Wijay was the offensive leader, amassing exactly 400 total kills. Her dominant play earned her unanimous All-Big Ten First Team honors and an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention.
Abigail Mullen (Opposite Hitter): Mullen was a significant force on the right side, contributing approximately 330 total kills. She led the team's potent serving game, ranking second in the Big Ten for total aces, and was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team.
Reese Messer (Setter): Messer expertly ran the offense, earning both All-Big Ten First Team and All-Freshman Team honors, highlighting her crucial role in the team's effective transition.
Leah Ford (Middle Blocker): A defensive anchor, Ford led the Big Ten in blocks per set (1.36 bps) and was efficient offensively, ranking ninth in hitting percentage (.355). Her strong play earned a Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award in September 2025.
USC navigated the significant realignment from the Pac-12 with remarkable expertise, proving they were immediately prepared to challenge the elite competition in what is widely regarded as America's premier Women's Volleyball conference.
