There was plenty of action in the Italian Serie A this weekend, and once again, the reigning champions Imoco Volley Conegliano were ruthless. They secured their ninth straight victory, defeating Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia 3–1 at the Palaverde arena.
The visitors shocked the home crowd by taking the first set 25–19, but Imoco quickly turned things around, dominating the next three sets 25–14, 25–23, and 25–17.
Fatoumatta Sillah was on fire, racking up 20 points and clinching MVP of the match, while Merit Chinenyenwa Adigwe added 14. On the other side, Loveth Oghosasere Omoruyi stood out for Vallefoglia with an impressive 21-point performance.
Meanwhile, Savino Del Bene Scandicci, who played on Saturday, cruised to a 3–0 home win over Bergamo.
The second set was a thriller—one of the best ever seen in Serie A—ending 32–30. Ekaterina Antropova and Avery Skinner both contributed 17 points to the victory.
