When Taylor Bannister signed with KS DevelopRes Rzeszów this summer, expectations were high. The American opposite hitter arrived in Poland after four successful seasons in Hungary with Vasas Óbuda, ready to embrace a new challenge in one of Europe’s strongest leagues. Just a few months into her TAURON Liga journey, she has already proven that she belongs at the very top.

Bannister’s story began at Louisiana State University (LSU), where she became one of the most decorated players in program history. From 2017 to 2022, she dominated the collegiate level with her powerful hitting and consistent scoring. Her performances caught the eye of European clubs, leading to her first professional contract abroad.

In Hungary, Bannister quickly established herself as a reliable force for Vasas Óbuda. Competing in both domestic competitions and the CEV Champions League, she gained valuable experience against international opponents. Four seasons between 2021 and 2025 in Budapest gave her the maturity and confidence to take the next step in her career.

That step came in June 2025, when KS DevelopRes Rzeszów — fresh off their first-ever Tauron Liga championship — announced her signing. For Bannister, it was the perfect opportunity: a chance to join a title-winning team in a league widely regarded as the “third force” in Europe, behind only Italy’s Serie A1 and Turkey’s Sultanlar Ligi.

The transition has been seamless. Bannister adapted quickly to the pace and intensity of Polish volleyball, delivering strong performances in her early matches. She has already been named MVP twice in the opening weeks of the 2025–26 season and clinched the 2025 Supercup. Her attacking power and athletic presence have added depth to DevelopRes’ roster, making her an instant fan favorite. More importantly, she has given the champions another weapon as they aim to defend their crown and push deeper into European competition.

For Bannister, this new chapter in Poland is more than just a career move — it’s a statement. She has shown that American collegiate stars can thrive in Europe, and that TAURON Liga is a stage where talent can shine brightly.
