Savino Del Bene Scandicci began their CEV Champions League Pool A campaign in style, defeating CS Volei Alba Blaj 3–0 in just over an hour of play. The Italian side showed dominance across all fundamentals, with strong blocking, efficient attacking, and balanced contributions from their key hitters.

In the first set (25–13), Scandicci quickly took control thanks to Linda Nwakalor, who was decisive both at the net and in attack. A series of consecutive blocks widened the gap, and Nwakalor sealed the set with a powerful finish.

The second set (25–21) was more competitive. Alba Blaj managed to take a brief lead, but Savino Del Bene responded through Lindsey Ruddins, Avery Skinner, and Bosetti, who guided the team back in front. Setter Ognjenovic added creativity with a one-handed assist, and Bosetti closed the set with the winning point.

In the third set (25–14), the home side started aggressively and never allowed Alba Blaj back into the match. Bosetti continued to shine, while substitutes Franklin and Graziani contributed important points. Graziani eventually delivered the final blow to secure the sweep.

Lindsey Ruddins was named MVP and top scorer with 14 points, followed by Nwakalor (12), Skinner and Bosetti (10 each). Savino Del Bene dominated at the net with 15 blocks to Alba Blaj’s 2, added 4 aces, and finished with a 47% attack efficiency compared to the opponent’s 35%.
