Texas Women's Volleyball: #2 in NCAA and Strong Leaders in Southeastern Conference

The Texas Longhorns women’s volleyball team is having an amazing season. Right now, they’re ranked #2 in the country and still undefeated with a perfect 14-0 record. In their new home, the Southeastern Conference (SEC), they’ve started 8-0, beating every team in their way.

They’ve swept teams like Arkansas and Kentucky 3-0. Only Texas A&M was able to win one set against them.

The Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team is stacked with talent this 2025 season, showcasing a mix of confirmed leaders and rising stars.

Ayden Ames, middle blocker, stands out with a stellar hitting percentage, anchoring the team's front line. Ella Swindle, setter, is the engine of the offense, delivering top assists and maintaining control of the court.

Emma Halter, libero, leads the back row providing defensive stability. Torrey Stafford, outside hitter, adds explosive power to the attack, while Abby Vander Wal, also an outside hitter, is quickly making her mark with her height and athleticism.

Under the guidance of head coach Jerritt Elliott in his 25th season, Texas is poised for another competitive run in the Southeastern Conference and beyond.

The real test will come in the NCAA National Championship, when the best from every conference show up — like Big Ten power Nebraska.
