Omaha Supernovas is the team to beat in the 2026 Major League Volleyball

The Omaha Supernovas enter the 2026 Major League Volleyball (MLV) season as the undisputed team to beat, leveraging their 2025 dominance—a 21-7 regular-season record, No. 1 playoff seed, and league-leading 10,925 average attendance at CHI Health Center—to fuel ambitions in the newly unified eight-team league. Despite a first-round playoff exit to Indy Ignite, their championship pedigree from 2024 and aggressive free-agency haul (13 signings by late August) position them for a title run.
A powerful roster
The Supernovas boast a powerhouse lineup blending proven stars and local talent. Core returners include Outside Hitter of the Year Brooke Nuneviller (3.33 kills/set in 2025), Rookie standout Reagan Cooper (4.13 kills/set), and setter Sydney Hilley.

New additions feature Olympian libero Morgan Hentz for elite defense, former Nebraska Huskers Merritt Beason and Leyla Blackwell (6-4 middle blocker) for front-line power, Emily Londot, Janice Leao, Allison Holder, Morgan Stout, Norah Sis, and Elise Goetzinger from Creighton—infusing Nebraska pride.
Olympic gold medalist Luka Slabe takes over as head coach, with Thomas Robson returning as assistant, promising tactical innovation.
