The 2026 EuroVolley Women pool stage is officially over with four matches held across the different cities.

In Pool A, Poland created a massive upset by defeating reigning champions Turkey 3-2 (15-25, 25-21, 25-22, 16-25, 15-10) in front of a stunned Istanbul crowd.
After being completely overwhelmed in the first set, the Polish team completely turned the situation around by adjusting their block-defense system to claim the next two frames. 
Although Turkey dominated the fourth set by a crushing nine-point margin, Poland completely flipped the momentum in the tie-break, showcasing flawless execution to dominate the final sprint despite their prior setback.
Poland's offense was spearheaded by Julia Szczurowska with 26 points and Paulina Damaske with 15 points, while Turkey's effort was led by Melissa Vargas with 21 points alongside Hande Baladın and Zehra Güneş, who both contributed 15 points. 
As a result of this victory, Poland clinches the top spot and inherits the tournament pathway featuring Italy, whereas Turkey’s defeat theoretically sets them on a collision course with Serbia in the knockout stages.
The other three matches played yesterday concluded the pool stage action with the following results:
  • Slovenia – Hungary: 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-16) in Pool A
  • Spain – Romania: 0-3 (19-25, 22-25, 20-25) in Pool C
  • Azerbaijan – Netherlands: 1-3 (25-15, 16-25, 22-25, 19-25) in Pool C
