League One Volleyball is expanding its footprint with the addition of the San Francisco Signal for the 2027 season. The Bay Area franchise has assembled a roster that combines international experience with American talent, focusing on building a balanced team structure from its inaugural campaign.
For the setter position, Pornpun Guedpard brings international experience from Thailand, known for running a quick offense. She is paired with collegiate standout Ella May Powell, who adds size and net presence to the distribution department.
The outside hitter depth features veteran American international Kelsey Robinson-Cook, who provides baseline ball control and defensive stability. The group includes French attacker Halimatou Bah, alongside Allison Jacobs, Madeline Haynes, and Kara Hallock, offering various structural options on the pins.
At opposite, Kari Geissberger fills the dedicated right-side hitting role. Her height and high contact point will be utilized to challenge opposing blocks and handle out-of-system sets.
The middle blocker rotation relies on Carter Booth and Serena Gray to establish the team's primary defensive line at the net. Julia Haggerty and Sachi Minowa complete the unit, providing depth and alternate attacking options in front of the setter.
Defensively, the libero duties will be shared between Mengjie Wang, who brings international experience from China, and Giorgia Faraone, who joins after playing in the European club circuits.
The San Francisco Signal will officially compete in the LOVB Western Conference. The roster is structured to maintain consistency across both front-row and back-row operations as the franchise establishes its place in the league.
