The Turkish national team captured the 2026 Volleyball Nations League title after a hard-fought four-set match against Brazil in Macao. 

Brazil started strong, using their steady defense to take a close opening set 25-23. However, Türkiye responded well by finding their rhythm to take the second set 25-23, maintaining their momentum to claim the third 25-22, and finishing the match with a 25-21 victory in the fourth frame to secure the championship.

Melissa Vargas was a central figure throughout the tournament, earning the Most Valuable Player award for her consistent performance during the VNL Finals. The standout opposite player was highly dependable during difficult stretches and out-of-system plays. 
By attacking from an impressive height, Vargas found pathways through the Brazilian block and delivered heavy, fast-paced hits that gave her team momentum at critical moments in the match.
The victory was also heavily supported by the steady contributions of outside hitters Hande Baladın and İlkin Aydın. 
Baladın brought great energy to the court, helping to steady the team's transition plays and securing a key block at the net that helped turn the second set in Türkiye's favor. 
On the other side, Aydın provided great balance by handling tough ball receptions and finding smart angles at the net, which kept the offense moving smoothly and helped seal the win.
At the center of the court, the middle blocker duo of Zehra Güneş and Sinead Jack-Kısal established a formidable defensive wall at the net. 
Güneş used her excellent timing to shut down Brazil's standard offensive plays, while Jack-Kısal contributed aggressive slide attacks and timely touches that allowed the team to score crucial transition points. 
Behind them, libero and team captain Gizem Örge anchored the entire squad with her characteristic grinta. Her relentless energy, vocal leadership, and spectacular low-profile digs kept seemingly dead plays alive and provided the emotional spark that drove Türkiye to the top step of the podium.
