Sesc RJ/Flamengo has officially locked in its powerhouse roster for the 2026/2027 season, banking on stability and elite chemistry to guide them back to the top of Brazilian volleyball. After falling just short with a third-place finish in the Superliga Feminina this season, head coach Bernardinho's squad has made a strong statement by successfully retaining 11 core players from their previous campaign. This continuity provides the historic franchise with an established tactical engine and deep-rooted team synergy as they look to turn their recent bronze medal into championship gold.
The cornerstone of Flamengo’s strategy for the upcoming year is keeping their world-class offensive weapons together. Key stars returning to the court include the explosive opposite hitter Tainara Santos and the dominant American outside hitter Simone Lee. To anchor the defense at the net, international middle blocker Maša Kirov is also back, giving the squad the exact same elite foundation that proved to be one of the most formidable in the league during their recent playoff run.
To complement this veteran core, the club has injected strategic depth into the lineup through precise roster additions. Experienced outside hitter Ariele Moreira joins the wing rotation to bring extra scoring punch from the outside, while young opposite Jaqueline Schmitz adds valuable physical depth on the right side. Additionally, towering 20-year-old middle blocker Beatriz Paranhos has been promoted directly from Flamengo's elite youth academy to round out the net defense.
With this perfect blend of returning international superstars and hungry rising talents, Sesc RJ/Flamengo enters the 2026/2027 calendar year fueled by a clear sense of unfinished business in the upcoming Superliga title.
