Avery Skinner's illustrious volleyball journey began on a high note in the United States, where she was a pivotal force in leading the Kentucky Wildcats to their historic NCAA Women's National Championship title in 2020.
After dominating the collegiate scene, she made the move to Europe in France first winning the 2023 Fench Cup with Beziers. Later she moved to Italy with Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri '76, where her success continued immediately, notably clinching the prestigious CEV Cup in the 2023/2024 season.
Carrying that winning momentum forward, Skinner made a seamless and impactful transition to Italian powerhouse Savino Del Bene Scandicci at the start of the 2025/2026 season. Competing in the demanding Italian Serie A, she has quickly established herself as a formidable force, scoring 166 points in just 15 matchdays.
More importantly, she played a vital role in her team clinching the 2025 FIVB Women's Club World Championship title in December. Skinner's exceptional play was recognized with individual accolades, as she was elected the tournament’s Best Outside Hitter and named to the official Dream Team.
Looking ahead, Skinner is determined to shine in the premier CEV Champions League, where Savino Del Bene Scandicci is already performing strongly in the group stages. With two wins from their first two matches, the team currently sits at the top of their pool, and Skinner has already made her mark as a top scorer in the competition.
This rapid adaptation and continued high level of achievement highlight her significant impact on the elite Italian club.
