The Orlando Valkyries have been added to the 2025 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship in Brazil, replacing the second Asian entry in a late but strategic move that could elevate Major League Volleyball (MLV) on the global stage.

The 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) champions will compete in Pool B against Imoco Volley Conegliano (Italy), Praia Clube (Brazil) and Zamalek SC (Egypt). Their performance in this group could be pivotal in showcasing MLV’s competitiveness and ambition.

While MLV’s primary focus is expanding across North America, it’s increasingly clear the league is positioning itself to become one of the world’s premier professional volleyball circuits.

The Valkyries’ participation not only marks MLV’s debut in a top-tier international event, but also shines a spotlight on the U.S.-based league—potentially attracting global attention, new partnerships, and elite international talent.

This move aligns seamlessly with Orlando’s recent selection as a host city for the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship.
