KS DevelopRes Rzeszów eyes back-to-back title in Tauron Liga 2025/2026

KS DevelopRes Rzeszów, a powerhouse in Polish volleyball since its founding in 2012, is gearing up for the 2025/2026 Tauron Liga season with ambitions to defend their hard-earned championship title.

Based in Rzeszów, a city known for its passionate sports fans, the team made history in the 2024/2025 season by capturing their first-ever Tauron Liga crown and the Polish Cup. Under the initial guidance of coach Michał Masek, who was later succeeded by Stéphane Antiga, DevelopRes overcame a decade-long hurdle of five consecutive silver medals, dominating the playoffs with victories over Chemik Police, BKS Bielsko-Biała, and ŁKS Łódź.

Now, with a revamped roster blending seasoned stars and fresh talent, the team is poised to chase a historic back-to-back title.

The 2025/2026 squad retains key players from last season’s triumph. Setter Katarzyna Wenerska remains the orchestrator of the team’s dynamic offense, her precise playmaking pivotal to their championship run. Libero Magda Kubas anchors the defense, providing stability with her exceptional court coverage.

DevelopRes smartly kept both setters and liberos from the previous season, ensuring continuity in critical roles. To bolster their attack, the club made strategic signings, including Oliwia Sieradzka, the 2024/2025 Tauron Liga’s top scorer with 474 points (412 from attacks) and seven MVP awards while at Stal Mielec.

Her explosive scoring as an opposite will complement the team’s offensive firepower. Dutch outside hitter Laura Jansen, known for her versatility and international experience, adds another dimension to the squad, strengthening their wing play.

The season, set to begin in mid-October 2025, will see DevelopRes face new challenges, including matches against newcomers like LOS Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. Playing at the iconic Podpromie Hall, where their passionate fans create an electric atmosphere, the team is well-positioned to leverage their home advantage.

With a balanced roster, experienced coaching, and a hunger to cement their legacy, KS DevelopRes Rzeszów is ready to battle for another title and solidify their status as a dominant force in Polish volleyball.
