Hande Baladın, the 27-year-old Turkish outside hitter renowned for her explosive spikes and defensive tenacity, has electrified the volleyball world by signing with Fenerbahçe Medicana for the 2025/26 season.
After a 15-year stint with Eczacıbaşı Dynavit, where she was close but never won the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi or the CEV Champions League, she bid an emotional farewell following the 2024/25 season.
Joining Fenerbahçe’s powerhouse roster—featuring Melissa Vargas, Alessia Orro and Eda Erdem —Baladın strengthens an elite outside hitter lineup.
She already made a significant impact at the Sardegna Volley Challenge, where her new team clinched the title. Experts call it a “major boost” for Fenerbahçe’s quest to dominate the Sultanlar Ligi and Europe, where Baladın aims to finally claim those elusive titles.
Fenerbahçe’s welcome? A bold “Welcome to the world’s greatest sports club!”—signaling their championship ambitions.
